O-Level Computer Course
The NIELIT 'O' Level course is a foundational and highly recognized certification in the field of computer applications, equivalent to a one-year diploma. It is offered by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
Syllabus and Curriculum
The current syllabus (Revision R5.1) is divided into four modules:
M1-R5: Information Technology Tools and Network Basics: Covers computer fundamentals, operating systems, and basic networking concepts.
M2-R5: Web Designing & Publishing: Focuses on creating web pages using HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
M3-R5: Programming and Problem Solving through Python: Teaches the basics of programming and problem-solving using the Python language.
M4-R5: Internet of Things (IoT) and its Applications: Provides an introduction to the Internet of Things, sensors, and building IoT applications.
Eligibility
10+2 (12th grade) completion from a recognized board.
ITI Certificate (one year) after class 10, followed by an accredited 'O' Level course.
A Government-recognized polytechnic engineering diploma after class 10, with the 'O' level course taken concurrently during the third year.
Mode of Study: You can pursue the course through two modes:
Accredited Institutions: By enrolling in an institute that is accredited by NIELIT to run the 'O' Level course.
Directly as a Candidate: By applying and appearing for the examination directly, provided you meet the eligibility criteria.
